Join us for Sherwood Park’s 3rd Annual Pancake Breakfast! Friday, December 20th, 7:30
Friday, December 20th, 2013 7:30-8:45 a.m. in the Gym
*********** LATEST BREAKING NEWS!
A few new things to notice about the breakfast this year:
The doors open at 7:30AM!! Please enter through the doors by Tanya Jefferson's room. There will be a coffee station there for you to fill up! Parents - if you can please bring your own mug, we would appreciate it as we are trying to produce very little garbage at this event.
The Rise of the Guardians will be playing in the Multi-Purpose Room for the children to enjoy once they have finished their breakfast. This room will be monitored by our capable Grade 7's, so please feel free to drop off your children once you have enjoyed your breakfast.
We will have Grade 7 helpers available upstairs in the gym to assist anyone who needs an extra pair of hands. Please look for students in Santa caps :-)
We will also be featuring a recycling centre. The Grade 6 students will be running the show. All elements of the breakfast will be composted / recycled, with the exception of the paper coffee cups. If you are unsure of what goes where, please ask these students and they will happily assist.
*********** Update!
An important minor change to let you know about - the Santa's Pancake Breakfast on Friday, December 20th, will begin at 7:30 AM! We have elected to begin earlier in order to serve everyone in a timely fashion. We will be running two lines in the gym this year in the hopes that we can shorten the wait times. We ask that once you have enjoyed your breakfast that you clear a space for those waiting behind you.
Donations at the door are encouraged (suggested $5).
Don’t forget, as this is a regular school day, we ask that parents do not use the staff parking lot, and plan to park on the streets surrounding the school.
We desperately need a few parents who can help us set up the gym after school on Thursday Dec 19th, so it’s ready for business in Friday morning. If you’re able to help us, please send us an email ASAP to [email protected]
In addition, there will be a movie for the kids playing in the Multi-Purpose Room until 8:45am, so please feel free to escort your children there once you have finished eating. They can remain there until the first bell at 8:45, when they can then make their way to class.

Let’s bring the school together-teachers & staff, students, caregivers and parents to celebrate the season over a hot breakfast. Come enjoy all you can eat buttermilk pancakes with all the fixings (that means berry compote, whipped cream, butter and syrup)…fresh fruit, fresh coffee and orange juice.
Please use the tear-off section of the Pancake Breakfast notice sent home with your child to let us know how many will be coming for breakfast on December 20th. The choir will be singing and the food will be yummy.
*A note to those with allergies: the volunteers will be supervised by Foodsafe certified parents, no nuts will be used although the products are not certified nut free. Every effort is made to ensure no cross contamination occurs but we cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions.
For any questions or if you would like to donate towards the breakfast please contact [email protected].
Profits Directly Help our Community Not only does this event provide a fun, music filled (thanks to the choir!) yummy breakfast where friends can gather but also all of the profits will directly help our community. All proceeds will be benefiting the newly established Sherwood Park Care Fund. A fund created to specifically help local families who are in need.
This event is by donation (suggested $5/person), but we still need to know if you’ll be coming. So please use the tear-off section on the Pancake Breakfast notice sent home with your child to let us know how many will be coming and your name will be on the list! (The nice one of course!)
Volunteers Needed! We are looking for four volunteers to come out after school on Thursday, December 19th to help set up and eight people to flip pancakes on the morning of Friday, December 20th. Email us if you'd like to help out: [email protected]
